EW players have many opportunities to participate in Competitive Travel Baseball over the summer.  Players typically have the choice between some of the local AAU teams such as Team CT Baseball (TCB) and the CT Capitals, or players can opt for playing for the local American Legion program and a FBVL (JCTD) team.  Competitive Travel Baseball typically starts once the local high school season has ended, and continues through July, sometimes into early August.  Players at this level are expected to be committed to the team and its schedule throughout the summer.

EW players looking to play in the Legion program are geographically assigned to the South Windsor Legion team.  The South Windsor Legion program is allowed to take players from both SW and EW.  The SW Legion program typically offers teams at three levels of competition:

SENIOR Legion (19u)

JUNIOR Legion (17u)

PREP Legion (15u)

The local AAU teams typically offer teams at each age level, 13u, 14u, 15u, 16u and 18u.  Players typically come from anywhere throughout the state of CT and western MA.  At the older levels you might find players from throughout New England.  Information for these teams is best received from the team itself.  Links to TCB and the CT Capitals can be found below.

The FBVL (previously known as the JCTD) league has been around for over 60 years.  Founded in 1946, the league has been providing summer playing opportunities for decades.  An EW player could play for a FBVL (JCTD) team associated with the WL Legion program, or tryout for an independent FBVL (JCTD) team operated locally.  The FBVL (JCTD) program offers three levels of competition:

SENIOR Division (19u)

JUNIORS Division (15u)

PREP Division (13u)
